Can't you just add your MAME roms directory to the paths in Demul? I've been using Demul 0.5.82 for a long time and decided to upgrade to the latest version and I was getting errors with all of my roms. I don't understand the purpose of this tool.

MAME recently split the DC bios into separate files and Demul doesn't know how to handle it yet a non-merged set or even a merged copy of this file would eliminate that issue though This here will pull the games out of a current MAME set the only real issue is if you have a MAME split set the DC.zip file won't work unless it is merged together with all of the other files that go with it now. I followed the tutorial about Naomi games, downloaded a non merged 0.185 mame romset and use the batch files to extract Naomi, Naomi2, Naomi GD, Naomi 2 GD, Gaelco, Hikaru, Atomiswave roms to differents directories.

I've tried a series of combinations of "don't use quotes" and "no space before ROM" and "use file name only w/o extension." With one of those combos, I get a similar error like the OP up top, "unable to find mpr-2193.ic501 in romset awave" or whatever it is.That is because they changed a lot of the ROMs at the time to match the changes that MAME had made to the ROMs Hi guys, Im new to Demul and need your help. For both of them, we can put these BIOS files in the same folder with game ROM (roms). A quick search and one of the top results: 'You need to create a zip file named dc.zip and but all the Demul BIOS files in that (including mpr-21931.ic501) and put that in Demuls roms folder.' Maybe Derek can advise further, but like I said make sure you have the right BIOS files and make sure theyre selected properly. In the dc.zip folder in Demul within a subfolder titled roms I currently have: 101d01.bin 101d02.bin 100401.bin 101101.bin dcbios.bin dcflash.bin I dont know if I have to much junk in there. For DC, I can click on a game from my Launchbox library page and it'll load up and play fine.įor Sammy Atomiswave, if I click on a game, it just opens up the Demul program.
